Decarbonising Heat Through Electrification
Wednesday 06.04.2022
Online at 11:00 AM
This webinar will update attendees on the recently published National Heat Study by SEAI: this has introduced a monumental shift in the approach to decarbonising the Irish heat sector by policymakers so it is vital that industry stakeholders are aware of these changes and the new solutions now being prioritised.
Attendees will also be informed about the huge benefits of electrifying Ireland’s industrial heat demand, particularly for temperatures less than 200°C, and about the proven technologies which are available to this and have already been implemented at scale in other EU countries. A case study will also be presented outlining how one Irish company is already undergoing the electrification of their heat needs.

IOSH Managing Safely for Wind Power
Online, from the 25th of April to the 27th of May 2022
Managing Safely for Wind Power is the first tailored course for the renewables sector, developed in conjunction with industry experts. It tackles safety from a management decision making perspective and focuses on operational issues facing companies operating in the wind power industry. It is designed for site owner-operators, OEMs, O&M contractors and contracting companies working in this emerging and high consequence sector. The course is suitable for those working on and off shore.
Developed by regenerateTM, ARMSA's R&D brand and methodology, this course enables you and your staff to challenge perceptions of risk in this emerging sector through active learning. It also equips delegates with skills and techniques to manage and conduct their work safely and competently through effective decision making. As a consequence, companies and their people will be equipped to deal with problems and issues in a well informed and competent manner.

IOSH Construction and Operations Safety for Solar Power
Commences on the 9th of May 2022
Global growth of utility scale solar power is an indicator of the importance of solar in the renewable energy mix. Commercially viable and high-return projects are meticulously developed, well planned, effectively constructed, and operated and maintained optimally. Each phase being equally important and dependent on the one before. This program equips Engineering, Construction and Asset Managers with a holistic view of the asset lifecycle and the impact of strategic, tactical and operational decision making on safety and asset performance.
This is so much more than a standard IOSH awareness-level program. It takes a systems view of projects when helping delegates navigate through emergent properties such as time, cost, schedule and safety.

Introduction to Green Hydrogen
Dates: 14th, 16th, 21st, and 23rd of June 2022
Upon completion of this course:
Attendees will understand the role hydrogen can play in decarbonising the energy system, its importance to net zero ambitions, and the areas in which hydrogen can make an impact in the short, medium, and long-term.
They will then be familiarised with the components of a green hydrogen system, and their limits with respect to flexible power consumption, safe operating conditions, and auxiliary power consumption.
The fundamental drivers of cost will be explained, with a demonstration of how to calculate levelised costs, as well as sensitivity analysis. This way attendees will understand the relationship between CAPEX, OPEX, WACC, and Capacity Factor, among others.
The targets and supports in place both internationally and here in Ireland will be examined, what they mean for various business models, and target use cases. Regulations too will be looked at specifically in terms of gas grid injection, biofuel production, and when green hydrogen is counted as fully renewable.
Attendees will be familiar with the technology, how it compares to more well-known solutions (pros and cons), and hydrogen’s role in the energy system.
Attendees will be able to critically analyse hydrogen projects at a high level and know what is required to produce affordable and sustainable hydrogen.
Attendees will know what regulations apply to hydrogen, and where support exists.
