Open invitation to series of National DMAP for ORE engagement sessions with the Fishing Industry, 7th-17th September

The Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment is inviting fishers, vessel owners, producer organisations, seafood businesses and other fishing industry stakeholders to attend a series of regional fisheries consultation meetings this September on the development of the National Designated Maritime Area Plan (DMAP) for Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE).

These meetings are an opportunity for the Department to hear directly from the fishing industry and gather views, local knowledge and operational insights before the statutory public consultation process begins in early 2027. Stakeholders will be able to share their experience, highlight concerns and help inform the development of the plan at this important early stage. The Department’s Fisheries Liaison Officer will be on hand to answer questions and listen to your views.
