The Atlantic Marine Energy Test Site (AMETS) has published the Scoping Report as part of the EIA process. This is available on the Ocean Energy Ireland website  

SEAI are seeking feedback at this stage of the process. Members of the public and interested persons are invited to feedback both formally and informally on an anonymous basis.

The public information event informed attendees about the environmental consenting process that SEAI is undertaking, to expand the scope of the site to test floating offshore wind technologies at the site as well as wave energy that is already consented. Information discussed at the event included:  

  • Scoping of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report 

  • Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Report 

  • Feedback from public and statutory authorities 

  • Completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report 

  • A series of informational displays are available to download here which outline the current proposal.
