SMARTDEC, an Interreg Atlantic Area project, is launching a Call for Innovations to support promising ideas, technologies, tools, devices and inventions that contribute to maritime decarbonisation.

Who can Apply?

-> Innovators, entrepreneurs, and SMEs working on maritime decarbonisation

-> Solutions at different Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs)

-> Projects in the Atlantic Area, covering the Western Atlantic Ocean, including:

• Spain: Galicia; Asturias; Cantabria; País Vasco; La Rioja; Navarra; Andalucía; Islas Canarias
• France: Nouvelle Aquitaine; Pays-de-la-Loire; Bretagne; Normandie
• Ireland: Northern and Western; Southern; Eastern and Midland
• Portugal: Norte; Centro; Lisboa; Alentejo; Algarve; Região Autónoma dos Açores; Região Autónoma da Madeira.

Selection Criteria

Innovation (30%) – Novelty and feasibility

Impact (30%) – Market, environmental, and societal benefits

Implementation (30%) – Business viability and scalability

Other (10%) – Transnational cooperation and gender balance

At least 8 beneficiaries will be selected, including 2 per country. Each will receive personalised support from regional SMARTDEC partners.
