TUS (Technological University of the Shannon) is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the second cohort of the Leadership in Offshore Renewable Energy Systems programme. This 12-week course marks the first micro-credentialed Lifelong Learning Programme for wind and energy professionals, developed as part of the pioneering EU-co-funded DigiWind project under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP).

This specialist programme, designed to support Ireland's growing offshore renewable energy sector, will take place online one afternoon per week. It will enable professionals to assess opportunities in offshore wind, wave, tidal energy, and energy storage, while offering in-depth knowledge on key industry topics. The course covers policies and permits, resource estimation, environmental considerations, and both fixed and floating offshore wind energy technologies. Participants will also explore grid infrastructure, energy storage solutions, economic analysis, and future trends.

This unique course allows participants to sharpen their leadership and technical skills, gain insights from innovative offshore energy projects, and build valuable connections with industry leaders and fellow professionals. Thanks to HCI (Human Capital Initiative) funding, qualifying participants can have up to 100% of their course fees covered. This program provides a fantastic opportunity for those looking to advance their careers without financial barriers.

With limited spaces available and the application deadline set for September 20th, professionals from various backgrounds and industry experience are encouraged to apply.
