Irish Commercial Charter Boats (ICCB) have this week ordered the design of a new 14m crew transfer vessel from Rockabill Marine Design (RMD). This strategic investment equips ICCB with a versatile custom vessel capable of carrying 12 passengers and 1 tonne of deck cargo. This latest order positions ICCB to secure and fulfil contracts in Irish and UK waters.
Designed in accordance with the MSO P5 passenger boat license and the MCA workboat code 3, the vessel is powered by twin OXE 300 outboard engines, ensuring both power and efficiency. With onboard facilities including a heads / wet room and a full galley, the vessel prioritises the comfort and convenience of both passengers and crew.
Operating at speeds of up to 25 knots, even at maximum cargo capacity, this crew transfer vessel is a testament to RMD’s commitment to delivering innovative designs that ensure operational efficiency and profitability for clients.
RMD’s Managing Director commented, “This partnership signifies a shared commitment to innovation and excellence in the marine sector, and we look forward to delivering a vessel that exceeds expectations for both ICCB and its clients.”
“This new vessel not only enhances our fleet but also enables ICCB to excel in the competitive market of commercial charter services,” said Eoin Grimes, Owner of ICCB. “Our collaboration with RMD shows our dedication to providing top-tier services in the maritime sector.”
