GAC Shipping Ireland are currently welcoming applications for the following four vacancies:

• Marine & Terminal Operations Supervisor – Dublin Port
  Areas of Responsibility:
  • Ensure adequate staffing is in place to cover all jetty, terminal, survey and shipping supervisor requirements
  • Ensure employees are provided with the necessary equipment to conduct tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to reduce any delays to customers
  • Keep customers advised on prospects for their vessels
  • Ensure a high level of staff utilisation
  • Track and monitor agreed contractual KPI’s with customers
  • Assist in the production of procedures and risk assessments which should be reviewed regularly and in line with company policy
  • Perform audits and competency checks on staff to ensure compliance by the team as directed by the Ops Manager
  • Store and maintain all training, QHSSE and procedural documents
  • Lead by example and set the standards required by colleagues
  • Take an active part in customer review meetings and ensure any KPI targets are met
     
• Petroleum Cargo Inspector – Dublin Port
  A brief summary of the role and the requirements are as follows:
  • Manual gauging and sampling of shore tanks
  • Sampling vessels before discharge
  • Conducting analysis of samples
  • Gauging vessels’ tanks before and after discharge
  • Calculating outturns for clients
     
• Ship Agent – Cork
  The key responsibilities are:
  • Booking vessels in and out of port with all relevant stakeholders
  • Capturing accurate costs incurred during port calls
  • Visiting vessels and handling any local requirements
  • Maintaining good relations with customers and stakeholders
     
• Terminal Operators – Dublin Port
  (Multiple Vacancies, Full-Time and Part-Time available)
  A brief summary of the role and requirements are as follows:
  • Tank dipping and sampling
  • Completing and recording of daily quality checks
  • Responsible for safe loading of road tankers and assisting drivers
  • Monitoring of terminal equipment
