XOCEAN is proud to have supported the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) under the HydroScheme Industry Partnership Programme (HIPP), delivering the first HIPP survey conducted entirely using Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs).

Survey SI 1019, carried out along the stretch from Abbot Point to Wilson Shoal within the iconic Great Barrier Reef, involved the deployment of four USVs that collectively covered 26,662 kilometres to complete the survey of this critical shipping corridor.

This initiative represents a major advancement in the use of low-emission, remote-first technologies to deliver essential national ocean data, demonstrating how uncrewed systems can enhance both environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

XOCEAN was honoured to work alongside the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) on the HIPP panel and to contribute to the ongoing innovation and transformation of Australia’s marine mapping capabilities.
