Subsea Micropiles appoints Els Verbraecken as Non-Executive Director

Former CFO of Deme Group joins pioneering offshore foundations company to drive international growth.

Specialist subsea foundations and anchoring solutions company, Subsea Micropiles, has appointed Els Verbraecken as a Non-Executive Director of its board as it continues its rapid growth journey.

Ms Verbraecken brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance and strategic leadership, having spent the last 12 years as the Chief Financial Officer of DEME Group, a leading contractor in offshore energy, dredging and environmental remediation.

 

A strong advocate for sustainable development in the maritime and energy sectors, the Belgium- based executive also has extensive board-level experience spanning both private and public sector organisations.

 

During her tenure at DEME, she played a pivotal role in steering financial strategy, taking the company public in 2022, and driving growth in global markets to include offshore wind, environmental remediation and complex marine infrastructure.
