Dublin Array Offshore Wind Farm to hold Additional Public Submission and Observation Period

Source: Dublin Array

Public consultation period on planning permission application for the Dublin Array offshore wind farm has been extended by a further 8 week period.

Kish Offshore Wind Limited and Bray Offshore Wind Limited, joint venture companies owned by RWE Renewables Ireland and Saorgus Energy submitted an application for planning permission to An Bord Pleanála (now named An Coimisiún Pleanála) on the 28th of February 2025. The application (reference ABP-321992-25) is seeking planning permission for the construction, operation and decommissioning of the Dublin Array project, an offshore wind farm at the Kish and Bray Banks in the Irish Sea off the coasts of Counties Dublin and Wicklow.

Due to a technical error on An Coimisiún Pleanála’s website (www.pleanala.ie), resulting in the omission of certain documentation relating to the application as detailed below, an additional 8 week time period is being made available for inspection of the planning application and for the making of submissions or observations. This is being provided to ensure full and effective public participation in the decision-making process. The additional eight week time period is available to the public generally, the prescribed bodies and those persons who already made a submission or observation on the application who may wish to update their submission or observation to account for the omitted documents from An Coimisiún Pleanála’s website (www.pleanala.ie).

Any submissions or observations from a member of the public, for the first time in respect of this planning application, must be accompanied by a fee of €50 (except for certain prescribed bodies).  Note that there is no fee required from any member of the public who has already made a submission or observation who wishes to update that submission or observation to account for the omitted documents. This additional period will open on Wednesday 30th of July 2025 with all submissions or observations to be received by An Coimisiún Pleanála not later than 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday 24th September 2025.

A copy of the application can be inspected on-line at the website www.dublinarray-marineplanning.ie .  The application may also be inspected on-line at the websitewww.pleanala.ie
