AQUARIUS with the support of INFOMAR and in collaboration with HydroOctave is excited to offer a hands-on Seabed Mapping Training Programme aboard the state-of-the-art RV Tom Crean in Galway, Ireland.
This training, running from October 3rd - 6th, will provide comprehensive instruction in multibeam echosounder (MBES) systems and seabed mapping techniques, equipping participants with the skills needed to excel in the field.
Who Should Apply? Early Career Researchers and Hydrographic Surveyors seeking specialized training in seabed mapping.

INFOMAR is a Government of Ireland seabed mapping programme funded by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications and is jointly managed by Geological Survey Ireland and Marine Institute . It aims to map Ireland’s seabed and deliver a comprehensive baseline bathymetry dataset to underpin the future management of Ireland’s marine resource.
