We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lubricant Technician to join our team based in Cork, Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning daily work, travelling to customer sites, taking oil samples, conducting lubricant management audits, installing lubricant management fittings, assembling oil filtration trolleys, flushing and filtering contaminated machinery, troubleshooting issues, and writing basic reports. Fluency in English and a clean full Irish driving licence are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning: Plan daily work in advance to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Travel: Travel to customer sites to perform required tasks.
- Oil Sampling: Collect and analyse oil samples from machinery to monitor and maintain optimal lubrication levels.
- Lubricant Management Audits: Conduct thorough audits of client sites to assess and manage machinery lubrication.
- Mechanical Installation: Install lubricant management fittings on machinery, including breathers, bayonet connectors, sample points, and filter housings.
- Assembly: Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of oil filtration trolleys.
- Flushing and Filtering: Flush and filter contaminated machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems related to pumps, motors, and oil filtration systems.
- Report Writing: Write basic reports detailing work carried out on customer sites.
Qualifications:
- Education: Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Trade or Level 7 or equivalent. MLA 1 or above or MLT 1 or above.
- Experience: 5+ years’ experience in an electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation role.
- Language Skills: Fluent English speaker.
- Driving Licence: Must possess a clean full Irish driving licence.
- Health: Must have a clean bill of health.
