The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and Irish Manufacturing Research are proud to host the DigiWind Technology Day: Wind & Energy Systems on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, at the Coonagh Campus, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

This flagship event will bring together key players from across industry, academia, and government to explore the future of wind and energy systems.

The event is delivered in partnership with DigiWind, an EU co-funded initiative focused on transforming wind energy education across Europe through dynamic Lifelong Learning (LLL) and Master’s-level programmes, hosted on a cutting-edge Virtual Campus.

Industry leaders including ESB, H&MV Engineering, Enerview Solutions, XOCEAN, Green Rebel, Simply Blue Group and Enterprise Ireland will be in attendance, showcasing their latest developments and engaging in critical discussions on Ireland’s role in the global energy transition.

Participants will hear from speakers working at the forefront of offshore wind development, marine data, and renewable infrastructure. The event will also highlight emerging educational pathways and skills programmes aimed at building a future-ready workforce to support the rapid expansion of wind energy and sustainable offshore systems.

"We are delighted to collaborate with the DigiWind project to bring this event to our Coonagh Campus,” said Gerard Cahill, Digiwnd Manager, TUS. “This day represents a unique opportunity to connect students, researchers, and professionals with real-world innovation and the companies shaping the future of the offshore renewable energy sector.”

The DigiWind academic partnership includes leading universities such as DTU (Denmark), TU Delft (Netherlands), NTNU (Norway), University of Oslo (Norway), and Gdańsk University of Technology (Poland) — combining international expertise with regional engagement.
