Senior Planning Advisor (Marine Planning)
The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) has responsibility for policy and programmes across areas of national strategic importance, encompassing telecommunications; energy; climate action; waste management and resource efficiency; environmental policy and air quality; postal; and natural resources.
The Planning Advisory Division supports timely and effective engagement by the DECC with the planning system, to deliver on the Department’s Statement of Strategy, and its Key Strategic Actions.
Reporting to a Principal Officer, the Senior Planning Advisor (Marine Planning) will work in close collaboration with internal colleagues to develop, deliver and support the marine planning strategies and objectives of the DECC. In addition, they will work with colleagues across the wider Department, Government and relevant agencies, local government sector and other stakeholders on marine planning-related matters.
