EirGrid’s plans to connect Offshore renewable energy off Ireland’s south coast are underway.
As part of Ireland’s ambition to achieve our climate target of producing up to 80% of electricity from clean renewable sources by 2030, EirGrid is seeking to gain feedback from the marketplace to assist with the development of their procurement and contracting strategy for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) associated with their Offshore wind programme(s) (i.e. EirGrid’s offshore wind grid infrastructure to be developed as part of the Phase 1, Phase 2 and future Phase projects off the coast of Ireland).
This market consultation will explore the project’s needs and supply chain requirements. Additionally, we are seeing views on the best current market mechanisms available to provide the required deliverables.
