P&O Maritime Logistics are currently recruiting for an Assistant Cook to work on board the RV Celtic Explorer.

 Assistant Cook

  • Job Location: Celtic Explorer
  • Contract type: Full-Time

About the role:
Assistant Cook is responsible for providing support the Ship’s Cook as required for meals, linen and internal maintenance of accommodation and storerooms and understudy the Ship’s Cook and take charge of catering in the galley when required.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Hold all statutory / STCW Certificates; Seafarers medical, Fire Fighting, First Aid, PSSR, PST, Designated Duties (ISPS)
  • Hold a HACCP food hygiene certificate
  • Minimum basic Microsoft skills is desirable
  • Previous experience on research vessels an advantage
