Instrumentation and ITÂ Technician
Full Time - Galway Office/Sea-going (RV Tom Crean/RV Celtic Explorer)
Qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in planning and execution of marine surveys e.g. hydrographic, geological, geophysical.
- Experience in the marine sector or related industries.
- Seagoing experience.
- Working knowledge of instrumentation used for marine surveys.
- Experience in working with complex electronic instrumentation and equipment.
- Experience or working in Teams.
- Computer literate, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of Desktop support in network environment.

Marine Offshore Services Technician
Full Time - Galway Office
Qualifications and experience:
- Preferably Degree (or equivalent experience) in an electrical/ electronic, IT, systems or engineering discipline.
- Hold full driving licence.
- Experience in setup/configuration, operating, maintaining, repairing, and extracting data from marine sensors.
- Experience in the marine sector or related industries.
- Previous sea time preferably working on the deck of a work or similar vessel. Demonstrated experience in vessel operations. Sea going qualifications/certification an advantage.
- Working with mooring hardware (sinkers, mooring lines, chains): setting up, mobilising/demobilising/deployment/recovery.
- Working with complex electrical and electronic equipment, and system engineering.
- Exposure to marine data communication technologies.
- Project management of marine projects.
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience with project teams.
- Working knowledge of scientific requirements of instrumentation used on data buoys.
- Experience or working alone and as part of a team.
- Computer literate, user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Report writing
