Senior Consultant
Full Time, Hybrid/Galway Office

Aqualicense is currently seeking a suitable qualified Senior Consultant. The role will be focused on the delivery of marine-based projects, including EIAR reports and Appropriate Assessments/Natura Impact Statements. Project types will range from Offshore Renewable Energy to Aquaculture in both Irish and International waters. As the candidate grows into the role, they will also be expected to assist in the management of overall project delivery. This is a technical role, reporting to the company Environmental Director.

This role will be a mix of work planning, team recruitment and management, survey work and the office-based report writing.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Environmental Director to coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments and other associated environmental reports including Appropriate Assessments/Natura Impact Statements
  • Writing and delivering specialist chapters of EIARs
  • Support to Environmental Director in management and delivery of company service offerings (Aquaculture, Licensing etc.)
  • Providing technical input to environmental assessment projects, including data collection and analysis
  • Ensuring that the quality of deliverables is to a consistently high standard and ensuring that all deliverables are undertaken in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Liaising with clients and statutory agencies to ensure the delivery of outputs that meet or exceed requirements and expectations.

Office Administrator
Full/Part-Time, Hybrid/Galway Office

Aqualicense is currently seeking a suitable experienced administrator for their busy marine consultancy company. The role will organise and coordinate office administration and procedures ensuring organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety. This role will report to the company Environmental Director. Although Aqualicense offers hybrid working arrangements, due to the nature of this role, they expect the bulk of the time will be based in their Galway office. A part-time role would be considered for the right candidate

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR to maintain/update handbook and policies as necessary
  • Payroll
  • Banking and liaison with accounts department
  • Invoicing
  • Organise office operations and procedures, file management
  • IT procurement/maintenance/software
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Integration of new timesheet system
  • Generation of monthly timesheet reports
  • Organisation of services leaflets/printing
  • Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills and errands
  • Report/PPT Template development and maintenance
  • Organisation of office cleaner
  • Purchasing (travel/orders)
  • Recruitment support
  • Funding application support
  • Daily support to team – formatting/queries/system support
  • Bookings – meeting rooms etc
  • Promotion (e.g. company news to MIIN)
