Marine Ornithologist
Full-Time, Permanent (Arklow, Co. Wicklow)

As a Marine Ornithologist your main responsibilities and tasks are predominantly linked to the processing/analysis workflow of aerial bird surveys.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related subject such as Env Sci, Ecology, Marine Biology, Geography.
  • Understanding of European/Irish guidelines in relation to bird and Marine Mammal surveys to ensure compliance and best practice is adopted during survey planning, execution and reporting.
  • Field work experience of using survey techniques and operating environmental sampling equipment
  • A working knowledge of GIS, LIDAR, GPS and other technologies is highly sought
  • Experience in aerial surveys, and interpretation of data from same, is also high desirable.

MMO/PAM Operator
Full-Time, Permanent (Offshore)

Ondine’s environmental team are currently seeking a suitably qualified Marine Mammal Observer (MMO) and Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Operators. This role will be offshore based, working onboard Ondine Survey vessels during survey campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a BSc degree in environmental science, natural resources, marine science, or a related field Five years of work experience for Lead MMO’s, two for MMO’s.
  • Understanding of European/Irish guidelines in relation to bird and marine mammal surveys to ensure compliance and best practice is adopted during survey planning, execution and reporting.
  • Field work experience of using survey techniques and operating environmental sampling equipment
  • Experience of MMO procedures and associated recording techniques
  • Experience of PAM procedures and associated equipment
  • Must hold valid industry recognised and approved Offshore Survival and Medical certification

Senior Geophysicist
Full-Time, Permanent (Offshore)

Join Ondine’s dynamic geophysical department in a predominantly offshore capacity, as a Geophysicist . You will be required to support Hydrographic and Geophysical surveys, including Ultra High Resolution Seismic and occasional UXO surveys. You will be required to carry out processing and interpretation of the acquired geophysical data produce reports and QA final deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HND or Degree qualification in relevant earth science related discipline
  • 2-5 years minimum experience in a similar offshore capacity
  • Experience in the use of relevant survey data acquisition and processing software packages
  • GIS experience preferable
  • Report preparation experience
  • Must hold valid industry recognised and approved Offshore Survival and Medical certification

Online Surveyor
Full-Time, Permanent (Offshore)

Ondine is currently seeking a highly motivated Online Surveyor to join our expanding offshore geophysical survey department. This is an offshore based role on a rotational basis. You will be required to support the team with online hydrographic survey support, data QC and management of all relevant acquired survey data.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HND or Degree qualification in a related discipline and/or professional accreditation or a comparable level of expertise
  • 2-5 years minimum experience in offshore geophysical survey works
  • Experience in the use of relevant online navigation and survey software packages
  • Confident with geodesy and survey datum transformations
  • Must hold a valid recognised and approved Offshore Survival and Medical certification

Project Surveyor
Full-Time, Permanent (Arklow, Co. Wicklow)

Are you an experienced Project Surveyor? Ondine are seeking the right candidates to join its geophysical department. This is essentially an office-based role, but there will be an offshore element to this role, and you must be prepared to spend some time offshore. You will be required to support the team with hydrographic survey support, QC and management of all relevant acquired survey data.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HND or Degree qualification in a related discipline and/or professional accreditation or a comparable level of expertise.
  • 3+ years minimum experience in offshore renewable survey works.
  • Experience in the use of relevant software packages, including Offshore Survey Management and Multibeam Sonar operational and processing packages.
  • Confident with geodesy and survey datum transformations
  • Must hold a valid recognised and approved Offshore Survival and Medical certification.

Survey Data Processor
Full-Time, Permanent (Offshore)

As Ondine’s geophysical team expands, we are looking for Survey Data Processor’s to join in an offshore capacity. You will be required to support the team with onboard data processing, QC and management of all relevant acquired survey data.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HND or Degree qualification in a related discipline and/or professional accreditation or a comparable level of expertise.
  • 2 – 4 years minimum experience in data processing and reporting of deliverables, preferably, in offshore renewable site survey works.
  • Experience in the use of relevant processing software packages, GIS and data storage
  • Must hold a valid recognised and approved Offshore Survival and Medical certification.

Marine Survey Engineer
Full-Time, Permanent (Offshore)

Ondine is looking to recruit a Marine Survey Engineer to join its dynamic geophysical department in an offshore capacity.

Qualifications:

  • HND or Degree qualification in relevant engineer related discipline preferred.
  • 3 -5 years minimum experience in a similar offshore capacity.
  • Experience in offshore renewable site survey works preferable but not essential.
  • Must hold a valid recognised and approved Offshore Survival and Medical certification.
