BIM Seafood Innovation Programme 2027

BIM Seafood Innovation Programme 2027

The Seafood Innovation Programme is designed to strengthen the innovation and new product development (NPD) capability of Ireland’s seafood sector.

Through a combination of expert-led workshops, practical learning and one-to-one mentoring, the programme helps participants develop the skills, tools and confidence to successfully bring new ideas to market while embedding innovation as a strategic part of their business.

By combining industry insight with commercial and consumer-focused thinking, the programme supports seafood businesses in developing, testing and launching products that can compete successfully in domestic and export markets.

Who it’s for

The Seafood Innovation Programme is aimed at professionals working in Ireland’s seafood processing and primary production sectors. It will support them to strengthen their innovation capabilities and drive new product development within their organisation. Candidates will be actively involved in innovation or NPD and must have at least three years’ experience in the seafood or wider food sector.

What to expect

Starting in January 2027, the programme will run over six months and include approximately 10 to 12 days of activity. Participants will engage in a blend of workshops, industry visits, practical innovation exercises and learning opportunities in Ireland and overseas.

Each participating company will also receive tailored mentoring to ensure programme learnings can be applied directly within the business.
