Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund
The Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF) is a €500 million challenge-based fund established under Project Ireland 2040. It is one of four funds set up under the National Development Plan (NDP) 2018-2027. It is managed by the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment and administered by Enterprise Ireland.

€40 million is available through DTIF Call 8. The DisrupTech on Tour DTIF Roadshow will visit 10 locations across Ireland, bringing companies and researchers together for briefings, networking and collaboration opportunities.

Current Call
Call 8 was announced on 9 June 2026 and will open for applications on 1 October 2026. Applications will close on the 3 February 2027 at 3pm Irish Time.
There are a number of key changes for Call 8:
- €40 million funding budget available for Call 8, with projects funded according to their ranking based on weighted evaluation scores
- Call 8 has a fixed application window of four months, with all applications assessed after the deadline of 3 February 2027 at 3pm Irish Time
- Irish Semi-State organisations and public bodies are now eligible to participate as non-funded partners, provided projects still include at least three other eligible partners
- Mandatory pre-eligibility check introduced for all applicants before submitting a proposal
- Reduced project commencement timeline, with projects expected to start within 6 months of the Ministerial announcement of award
