De Romein Nearshore (Northern Ireland) was established in March 2022 to enable a specialist delivery team to facilitate the installation of projects in the nearshore marine sector.

De Romein Nearshore is primarily focused on the subsea cable sector for nearshore landfalls, particularly for Marine Electricity Interconnectors (high-voltage connection between the electricity transmission systems of different countries) and Offshore Windfarms Export Cables (high voltage cables that connect the offshore substation to the onshore network) where cables make landfall from offshore windfarms.
