Operations Supervisor - Marine and Terminal Services
(Dublin Port)

The Marine & Terminal Operations Supervisor will provide our Marine & Terminal Services (MATS) clients with first class service in the provision of Jetty & Terminal Operators, Surveying and Shipping Supervision functions. The aim is to ensure the smooth service to the vessels & terminals we serve in order that we do not delay a vessel.

Additionally, the Supervisor forms a key part of the company providing an essential link between the vessel, terminal facility and the MATS team to ensure required information, arrangements, requests and any issues are clearly communicated between the stakeholders. The aim is 100% customer satisfaction therefore this role is vital to retaining clients and directly linked to income.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • To ensure adequate staffing is in place to cover all jetty, terminal, survey and shipping supervisor requirements
  • To ensure employees are provided with the necessary equipment to conduct tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • To liaise with all stakeholders to reduce any delays to customers
  • To keep customers advised on prospects for their vessels
  • To ensure a high level of staff utilisation is achieved
  • To track and monitor agreed contractual KPI’s with our customers
  • To assist in the production of procedures and risk assessments which should be reviewed regularly and in line with company policy
  • To perform audits and competency checks on staff to ensure compliance by the team as directed by the Ops Manager
  • To store and maintain all training, QHSSE and procedural documents
  • To lead by example and set the standards required by colleagues
  • To take an active part in customer review meetings and ensure any KPI targets are met

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • IOSH Managing Safely Desirable however training will be provided
  • Bachelor’s Degree qualified preferred
  • Shipping or Logistics background desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working in the Oil and gas industry desirable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in people management role
  • Strong people management skills
  • Good computing skills including MS Office
  • Full driving license, good communication and organizing skills

QHSSE Advisor - Marine and Terminal Services
(Various Locations – UK & Ireland)

We are currently recruiting for a QHSSE Advisor to join our QHSSE team. We can be flexible with office location, however travel between our offices across the Ireland and the UK will be required.

Reporting to the Head of QHSSE, the position is to support the Marine & Terminal Services (MATS) department in all aspects of QHSSE. The support will involve working very closely with all MATS locations and other internal company divisions including HR, IT and Finance. The role will require someone who is flexible, conscientious, professional, has high integrity and great attention to detail, as they will be involved in all aspects of QHSSE for our MATS product, which can include handling sensitive information and revising company documentation.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Planning and conducting internal audits at all MATS locations across Ireland and the UK against all aspects of our management systems
  • Conduct and review all Risk Assessments relating to MATS operations
  • Supporting the MATS operations to raise QHSSE issues and handle the investigations, providing support with planning and executing corrective actions. 
  • Providing QHSSE support to all areas of the MATS business and operations
  • Monitoring the departmental email boxes for IE & UK and responding to all emails in a timely manner
  • Creation and management of MATS specific QHSSE documentation supported by the Head of QHSSE.
  • Training support and management of MATS training requirements

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NEBOSH NGC/IGC or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a similar role within ports, marine, terminals, construction or a similar industry
  • strong communication and organisational skills
  • be able to multitask and prioritise
  • ability to work under pressure and meet regular deadlines with limited supervision.
  • be able to produce and maintain accurate documents
  • be able to grow and support a positive safety culture. 
  • have experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • A full driving license and car are also required for this role.

Senior Aviation Terminal Operator
(Dublin)

Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Aviation Terminal Operator to be based in Dublin. The purpose of this role is to steer resources and support services towards a future-oriented direction for both GAC and CK Terminals. The role requires leadership skills to oversee on-site coordination activities, while playing a central role in day-to-day terminal management with the CK Senior Terminal Manager and CK senior terminal operators.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Implement and follow up on Aviation Fuel regulations based on EI/JIG Standard 1530
  • Operate the terminal automation system to ensure terminal safety, correct product quality and minimal terminal downtime
  • Ensure HSE standards are met in all operations of daily tasks
  • Educate truck drivers and contractors to ensure HSE and compliance standard are met
  • Responsible during product imports from tank ships
  • Accurately document maintenance tasks in keeping with Terminal Handbook
  • Promote safe operations at all times on the terminal and work towards zero incidents

Job requirements

  • Minimum 2 years operational experience.
  • Hands on, proactive approach to work.
  • Confidence in management skills and ability to delegate tasks.
  • Good understanding and appreciation of a proactive safety culture.
  • Degree in relevant field such as mechanical engineering/ automation is desirable but not essential

Terminal Operator
(Dublin Port)

Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for a Terminal Operator in Dublin Port. The role is 39 hours per week, over 7 days, 24 hours a day. Relevant experience is preferred; however, full training will be provided.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Tank Dipping
  • Completing daily checks
  • Safe loading of road tanker
  • Monitoring shore tank levels
  • Daily Samples
  • Taking allocations
  • VRU Operation
  • Assisting drivers with any loading

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Terminal experience desired but not necessary as full training will be given
  • Good understanding and appreciation of proactive safety culture
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • First Aid certificate desired)
  • Manual Handling certificate (desired)
