Irish Mainport Holdings were delighted to recently name their new tug Celtic Treaty on Tuesday the 11th of July 2023.

The Celtic Treaty will now operate in Shannon estuary, along with her sister tug Celtic Fergus. Originating in Turkey, the Celtic Treaty and Celtic Fergus were build by Med Marine Both tugs were built by Med Marine and are now by far the youngest of any tugs in any Irish port.

With their main focus to serve existing customers in the Shannon Estuary, both tugs will also serve as a fantastic addition to the offshore wind industry in Ireland.
