Security of Critical National Infrastructure - 2026 CPD Seminar
As the global security landscape changes and new threats emerge, defence and safeguarding strategies for Ireland’s critical national infrastructure must also adapt to meet these challenges. This seminar, supported by the Irish Defence Forces, represents a comprehensive multi-sectoral exploration of this topic; presentations will challenge participants to think differently about security, and to consider the value of greater investment in this space.
Seminar Overview
This first of its kind seminar focused on the safeguarding of critical infrastructure arrives at a moment of significant transformation in the global security landscape. As geopolitical uncertainty increases and the security landscape continues to shift, traditional models of security must be reassessed and adapted to ensure they’re capable of meeting contemporary threats and vulnerabilities.
The purpose of this seminar is to not only broaden participants’ understanding of security but to reinforce the critical role that robust security strategies play in ensuring national resilience. A combination of multi-sectoral insights and expert analysis will make the case for healthy and sustained investment in the safeguarding of critical infrastructure.
By prioritising awareness, preparedness, and cross-sector collaboration, the seminar aims to strengthen collective capacity to anticipate, deter, and respond to the wide spectrum of threats facing critical infrastructure.
