H20 Conference

The Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia in partnership with the Government of Canada, the Province of Nova Scotia and the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship is pleased to present the H2O: Home to Overseas Conference on Monday, June 7 to Thursday, June 10, 2021.

While the conference will be virtual for 2021, there will still be many opportunities to engage with prospects & build relationships globally. To ensure maximum networking our B2B meetings platform will be available for two weeks over our conference dates and will connect attendees through interactive tools like chat and videos. Also, should health and safety protocols allow, we will provide some in–person networking and demos in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

OCEAN TECHNOLOGY SECTOR

The Home to Overseas Conference, is rapidly becoming Canada’s premier event for the ocean technology sector and is attracting significant international participation—there were 14 countries, represented in 2019.

Ocean technology being defined as a horizontal sector covering the technologies applicable to such vertical sectors as marine defence, marine energy (offshore extractive and renewable), marine environmental monitoring, marine transportation, aquaculture, fisheries and marine tourism.

ATLANTIC CANADA

Atlantic Canada and Nova Scotia, in particular, is home to a strong cluster of ocean industries and to ground breaking ocean research. This region is quickly becoming a globally recognised hub of oceans expertise with the potential to be a significant contributor to a number of Global Value Chains associated with the oceans sector, including, but not limited to, Marine Defence, Marine Energy, Marine Observation, Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology, Marine Tourism and Marine Transportation.

The H2O Conference is an ideal event to engage with the ocean technology industry. The conference will include: international delegates, research, development and commercialisation presentations, and two weeks of B2B meetings. This year’s conference will also include on-water demos at the Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE).
