Atlantic Summit 2026

The Marine Institute, the University of Galway and Atlantic Technological University, with the support of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, are pleased to invite you to save the date for the Atlantic Summit Galway 2026. 

Taking place during Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Atlantic Summit will bring together leaders and stakeholders from ocean research, policy, industry and society. This landmark event will identify critical priorities for Atlantic Ocean research, examine future skills needs and drive innovation to place the Atlantic at the heart of Europe’s ocean agenda. 

This high-level Summit will provide a unique platform for dialogue, collaboration and shared ambition at a pivotal moment for Europe’s ocean research and policy agenda. 

The programme will include plenary sessions, strategic discussions and opportunities to connect with stakeholders from across the Atlantic community.
