Atlantic ports meeting and Pillar 1 Workshop | Atlantic Action Plan 2.0

The EU Atlantic Action Plan, through its Assistance Mechanism, is currently organising the first in a series of workshops from Pillar I for the 12th May 2021 from 9:30 – 12:45 GMT. The IMDO, who are Pillar coordinators, have also been involved in organising this workshop.
The workshop, entitled The Current Status and Future Direction of Digitalisation in Ports in the Atlantic Sea Basin is the first of three workshops for the Atlantic Action Plan Pillar I and will serve so as to : (i) Establish the range of existing digitalisation initiatives in the Atlantic region that will support actions 2 and 3; (ii) provide a roadmap to establish the single window environment in Atlantic ports; and (iii) Support further representation from Atlantic ports on the Digital Transport Forum.
Digitalisation is of key importance for the future growth, sustainability and efficiency of the maritime industry. As part of this workshop our panel of industry experts will discuss best practices of existing projects, with a focus on the user perspective. The workshop will also seek to address the potential of future technologies to positively impact connectivity and facilitate trade.
