Atlantic Pillar II Event | Blue skills: needs and trainings in the Atlantic

On 10 June 2026, stakeholders from across the Atlantic maritime community will gather in Brest, France, for a dedicated event under the Atlantic Maritime Strategy – Pillar II, focused on addressing the evolving blue skills landscape in the Atlantic region. 

Organised by the Pillar II Coordinator, the France National Hub, UBO stakeholders for SEA-EU, and supported by the SBS Assistance Mechanism, this session will bring together representatives from cities, ports, academia, and key maritime stakeholders to explore current and future skills needs and training responses in the blue economy.

What to expect

And it will conclude with a summary of key messages and next steps to support more effective training systems and skills development across the North-East Atlantic.
