4th International Conference on Marine / Maritime Spatial Planning

Save the date!

From 1 to 3 June 2027, Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) authorities, international organisations, experts, and stakeholders from around the world will gather at UNESCO headquarters in Paris to share knowledge and explore the future of MSP.

Organised by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO and the European Commission, the conference will provide a space to discuss priority topics and actions for the MSPglobal community to address in the next 5 years, with a particular focus on:

  • Connecting with a global community of practitioners from across regions and expertise.

  • Sharing experiences, knowledge and lessons learned from MSP processes around the world.

  • Exploring how MSP can contribute to sustainable, resilient, and integrated ocean governance.
